QR Code for Facebook Page: How to Make One for Your Page and Reviews
How to make a QR code that opens your Facebook Page or its reviews, what Facebook offers for groups, where to put the code, and what to check when it doesn't work.

To make a QR code for a Facebook Page, open the Page in a browser, copy its address from the address bar, and paste it into a QR code generator. Download the code, test it with a phone, and print it. The same works for your Page's reviews, as long as recommendations are turned on for the Page. A dynamic QR code adds two things: you can see how many people scanned it, and you can change where it points without reprinting.
What follows about Facebook comes from its Help Center, read on October 29, 2026.
How to make a QR code for your Facebook Page
- Open your Facebook Page in a browser on a computer.
- Copy the address from the address bar. It is the Page's link.
- Paste it into a QR code generator as a URL code, and choose dynamic if you want scan counts.
- Download the code and scan it with an iPhone and an Android phone before you print it.
Static or dynamic?
A static code holds the Page's link directly. It works as long as the link does, and almost any QR code generator can make one.
A dynamic code holds a short link that points to the Page. You can change the destination later, for example to a specific post, an event or a new Page, and you see how many people scanned each printed code. In CodeQR, see how to change the destination after printing.
A QR code for Facebook reviews
A code at the counter or on a receipt that asks for a recommendation works only if your Page accepts them. According to Facebook's Help Center, a Page owner turns recommendations on or off in the Page's settings, under Page and tagging; when they are on, anyone logged in to Facebook can post a recommendation, and turning them off removes the existing reviews and ratings from the Page.
Visitors recommend a Page by opening it, clicking Reviews, choosing Yes or No and posting a few words. Point your QR code to the Page and say "Recommend us on Facebook" under it, so people know to look for Reviews.
If you also collect Google reviews, see our page on QR codes for Google reviews.
Facebook groups have their own QR code
For a group, Facebook has a built-in option. Its Help Center says group admins can share a QR code for the group from the three-dot menu, under Share, and download it. Only admins can do it, and only on a computer. For a business Page, the link method above works for any Page.
Where to put a Facebook Page QR code
- At the counter or the register, with "Follow us for daily specials".
- On receipts, bags and packaging.
- On flyers and posters for events you also post on Facebook.
- On table tents in a café or restaurant.
- In the shop window, for people passing when you're closed.
Put a short line under the code that says what people get: the Page, the reviews, or an event.
Why a Facebook Page QR code doesn't work
- The link is wrong. Open the address you encoded in a private browser window. If it doesn't open the Page, make a new code from the right link.
- The Page address changed. After a change such as a new username, scan the code again to check it still opens the Page. A dynamic code can be pointed to the new address; a static one has to be replaced.
- The code is too small or low in contrast. Our guide to QR code size for print has the minimum sizes.
- The scan opens the wrong place. See our help article on QR codes that don't scan or open the wrong page.
Other social profiles
The same method works for any profile with a public link. For Instagram, see our page on QR codes for Instagram. If you want one code for several profiles, a link-in-bio page with all of them is easier for people to use than a row of separate codes.
