What it's for
An Instagram QR code is a scannable image that points directly to an Instagram profile — or any Instagram URL you choose, such as a specific post, reel, or product tag. It removes the friction of searching for a username and is used by creators, small business owners, event organizers, photographers, and anyone else who wants to turn an offline moment — a flyer, a business card, a product label, a conference badge — into an immediate Instagram follow or view.
How to create your QR code for Instagram
- Copy your Instagram profile URL. Open Instagram, go to your profile, and copy the full URL. It looks like
https://instagram.com/your-handle. If you want to link to a specific post or reel instead, copy that URL. - Open CodeQR and choose URL as the QR type. Paste your Instagram URL into the input field. CodeQR will generate a live preview as you type.
- Switch to a dynamic short link. In CodeQR, toggle the dynamic option before saving. This gives you a short redirect URL inside the QR code, so you can change the destination later without reprinting anything.
- Customize the design. Adjust the foreground color to match your brand, upload your logo or a small Instagram icon to the center of the code, and choose a dot style. Keep enough contrast so the code scans reliably on any background.
