Changelog

Every provider that processes data on our behalf is listed at codeqr.io/legal/subprocessors, with the purpose, the data involved, and where it is processed. That page has always existed. What changes today is that we announce it — and any future change to it — here in the changelog, as our Data Processing Agreement commits us to.

Infrastructure

Marketing site only, and only with your consent

These three run on our marketing site behind the consent banner. They are not used inside the app.

Retention and transfers

Application logs are kept for 30 days and are used to investigate security incidents, abuse, and service faults. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated into our Data Processing Agreement.

Adding Axiom and Better Stack introduced no new category of personal data beyond the request IP address noted above, and no action is required from you.

• Checkout links track themselves — A link pointing at your Stripe or Kiwify checkout turns on sale tracking by itself once that integration is connected

Bug fixes

• QR code duplication crash — Duplicating a QR code no longer fails with a validation error when nullable frame style fields (frameTextColor, frameTextStyles) are carried over from the original record.
• Legacy QR code reads unblocked — Existing QR codes with a null frame text styles value no longer cause a database read error; the field is now correctly treated as optional throughout.

• Apply templates via URL params — API and automation callers (e.g. Make) can now select a QR template and override individual frame fields by embedding cq_* query parameters in the destination URL. Params are automatically stripped before the link is stored, keeping destinations clean.
• Template folder management — Organize your QR templates into folders and use upgrade-plan logic to keep your workspace tidy as your library grows.
• Copy Template ID — A new "Copy ID" action on the templates settings page makes it easy to reference templates in API calls and automations.
