Your QR code does not do what you expected
The code scans but the phone shows a page, joins nothing, saves an empty contact or opens the wrong number. Find the cause by type and fix it.

The code reads fine — the camera picks it up — but what happens next is not what you meant. Almost every case comes down to one of two things: the format you chose, or a value typed into the wrong shape.
Start here: static or dynamic
This explains most of it.
- A static code carries the content inside the image. The phone acts immediately: joins, dials, saves, pays.
- A dynamic code carries an address. Scanning opens a CodeQR page showing the content with a button.
So "the phone shows a page instead of doing the thing" is not a fault. It is a dynamic code working as designed. If you need the phone to act with no page and no connection, the code has to be static — and it cannot be edited later.
You cannot convert one into the other. Create a new code and keep the old one alive until the printed copies are gone.
By type
The Wi-Fi code shows the password instead of joining
Dynamic. Make a static one for anything printed, because a guest scanning your Wi-Fi code has no connection yet and a page needs one.
The Wi-Fi code tries to join and fails
The password, its capitalisation, or Encryption. Retype both fields by hand and confirm the network is really WPA/WPA2. If it works on Android but not on iPhone, check Hidden network — it should be off unless the network truly hides its name.
The Pix code opens the bank and the payment fails
The key is not in the form the bank registered. Copy it out of your banking app and rebuild the code.
The Pix code opens nothing at all
It was made as a dynamic code, which carries no payment inside it. Create it again as Static — Pix is offered as static only — and replace what was printed.
The contact saves with no name
Both name fields were empty when the code was made, or it is an old code in a format the current reader does not understand. Rebuild it with First Name and Last Name filled in.
WhatsApp says the number is invalid
The number is not in international form. Digits only, country code first, no + and no spaces. A Brazilian mobile without 55 in front resolves somewhere else entirely.
The text is cut off
Some camera apps preview only the first line of a long text. Shorten the message, or make the code dynamic so the text opens on a page.
The phone code opens a page instead of dialling
Dynamic. The page carries the button to call. A static code dials straight from the camera.
When nothing scans at all
Different problem, same three causes every time: the code is printed too small, the contrast is too low, or the surface is reflective. Print it larger, keep it dark on light, and avoid glossy stock. A dense code — a long text, a contact with every field filled — needs more size than a short one.
What cannot be fixed after printing
- The content of a static code. It is in the image.
- The type. A Wi-Fi code cannot become a contact code.
- A contact already saved on somebody's phone. Editing a dynamic code changes what the next person gets, never the last one.
