What happens when I click Duplicate or Use template?

The create form (for a link or QR code) opens with the same settings as the original and a new unique key. Nothing is saved until you click Save. You can change any field or cancel without creating a new item.

What is the difference between Duplicate and Use template?

Duplicate is available in the ⋯ menu on any link or QR code in the list; it works for every item. Use template appears on the Settings → Templates page and only shows items you have marked as templates. Both open the same pre-filled create form.

Who can see my templates?

Templates are visible to everyone in the workspace. Any member can go to Settings → Templates and use Use template on any listed item.

If I unmark an item as a template, is it deleted?

No. Unmark as template only removes it from the Templates page. The link or QR code stays in your Links or QR codes list and keeps working as before.

Can I duplicate or use a template for a QR code that has a custom design?

Yes. Duplicating or using a template copies the design (colors, frame, logo, etc.) and all other settings. You get a new QR code with the same look; you can then change the content or design before saving.

Why duplicate or use templates?

Save time: Reuse the same base (URL, UTM, design, options) without redoing everything.
Consistency: Keep the same campaign, brand, or tracking standards across items.
Team workflow: Templates are visible to the whole workspace; anyone can start from the same base.

No new link or QR code is created until you click Save. Whether you duplicate or use a template, what opens is the creation form already pre-filled, with a new key/slug. You can change whatever you want and only then save.

There are two ways to create a new link or QR code from an existing one:
